My glossary definitions:
Adoption is the legal act of permanently placing a puppy dog into a permanent home, meaning he or she shall forever be in your care.
Purchase: is when ownership is obtained in exchange for money or value which is also called buying, ownership can change easily with no strings attached. Most things bought and owned are eventually discarded somewhere along in life,

The puppy you have selected is
guaranteed by Hestekin Hills to the
original adoptor. This puppy appears to be of sound body, and in good
health, as far as appears to the eye at the time of this adoption. The
adoptor is strongly urged to establish a relationship with a Veterinarian
of their choice within 24 hours of the adoption to assure that they will
follow through with this puppies health care. This puppy is guaranteed
until the age of 1 year against hereditary and congenital disorders that
will interfere with the puppy's ability to lead a normal life. Should a
veterinarian find such a hereditary or congenital disorder, you simply
supply us with your veterinarians written report and the report from the OFA
or GDC, stating that this puppy is
indeed severely affected. This puppy would then be replaced with another
of equal value, and as available. We reserve the right to have any
diagnosis verified by a veterinarian of our choice. I do not pay
veterinary bills incurred under any circumstances. All Veterinarian and
transportation expenses are the adoptor's
responsibility. Puppies are not placed on a trial basis, but may be
returned to us at any time in their life and for any reason. The adoptor is aware that no refunds will be given and that they are taking full
responsibility for this puppy from this date forward. At no time should a
puppy/dog be placed in any rescue organization, shelter, pound or any
other such organization, and/or for any reason. If a situation such as
this ever presents itself to you, you simply are guaranteeing me that you
will be responsible enough to return this puppy/dog to me so that I can
aid in placing him/her in a new loving home.
Three options of this adoption are available, place your initials by the option of your choice:
______This
puppy has been adopted as a pet. You as the adoptor agree to
keep this puppy in top condition. Registration papers if given, are
as a courtesy only on pet puppies. It is recommended that you have
this puppy spay/neutered at approximately six months of age. If this
puppy has been bred, intentionally or not, this guarantee is void!
If this Adoption Agreement is violated, the adoptor agrees to pay
the difference of the adoption fee, which is equal to the amount
already paid. Pet puppies are adopted at approximately 1/2 the
price of show or breeding puppies.
_____ This puppy has been adopted on an open registration paper, meaning that you have my permission to show and/or breed. Pet puppies are adopted at approximately 1/2 the price of show or breeding puppies. AKC application fees are non-refundable. AKC reserves the right of registration of this dog and its descendants at its own discretion. You as the adoptor agree to keep this puppy in top condition. Entry in dog events is "not" restricted. If this puppy has been bred, intentionally or not, this guarantee is void as any dog should be more then 12 months of age before being bred.
_____ This puppy has been adopted as a pet with an option to show/breed at a later time. Pet puppies are adopted at approximately 1/2 the price of show or breeding puppies. You as the adoptor agree to keep this puppy in top condition. This puppy is not to be used for any breeding programs, as offspring will not be eligible for registration. It is recommended that you have this puppy spay/neutered at approximately six months of age. Entry in some dog events is restricted. If this puppy has been bred, intentionally or not, this guarantee is void. If the adoptor chooses to open the AKC registration papers at a later date, they can exercise this option by sending the additional fee of ______ which is equal to the adoption fee to me. If willing I will then contact AKC and open the limited registration paper if AKC still offers this option. If this option is no longer available or I feels that this should not be an option your puppy would remain on the limited registration paper and your additional payment would be refunded in a timely manner. This offer is available on an individual basis. AKC reserves the right of registration of this dog and its descendants at its own discretion.
It is required that you find a reputable veterinarian to keep this puppy
up to date on all vaccinations and wormings according to veterinarian
standards for this puppies age. It is required that this puppy remain on
the NuVet Plus vitamins as a nutritional supplement. (To order your NuVet
vitamins call Nuvet Labs at: 1-800-474-7044, the order code is: 3658-2
or online at: www.nuvet.com/36582,
this is a human grade all natural ingredient vitamin) It is required that
you transfer this puppies microchip, if microchipped, into your name
within 3 days of this adoption. This puppy is currently eating Pedigree puppy
food, and it is strongly recommended that you follow this program. Adult
size, conformation, color, pattern, and breeding capabilities if
applicable, can not be guaranteed. All Veterinarian and transportation
expenses are the adoptor's responsibility. I assume no
responsibility for the puppy after leaving our premises for accident,
injury, disagreement of family members, veterinarian exams, medications,
mortality, behavior, disease, or for any other reasons. I do not pay
veterinary bills incurred under any circumstances, and the adoptor is
aware that no refunds will be given as they are taking full responsibility
for this puppy from this date forward. Providing adequate medical care
including heartworm preventative and yearly vaccinations is a must.
Providing adequate exercise and human contact is a necessity of any
puppy or dog.
I, as the adoptor of this puppy, do hereby guarantee that I am not a
broker or a puppy mill. I am aware that placing of this puppy in any such
place is a violation of this contract.
Adoptor agrees that if any conditions or terms of the above contract
are violated by the adoptor, the adoptor will pay restitution, which
is equal to the amount already paid. If court actions arise due to
this adoption it is agreed that all court costs and
legal fees incurred will be paid by the adoptor, all actions will be
in Wisconsin Court and be subject to Wisconsin Laws. Adopting a puppy
should not be an impulsive decision and it is your responsibility to
understand that you are making a decision for the lifetime of the
puppy.

Visiting Our Puppies: Visitations are by appointment only. We do have a few requirements prior to your visit:
1. Young puppies, under 6 weeks old are not allowed to have outside visitors as they are not, at this young age, vaccinated or ready for the stress associated with the outside world.
2. Do not stop at any pet stores, other breeders or vet clinics prior to stopping here. Young puppies are susceptible to contracting unseen viruses prior to receiving all their needed vaccinations, your help to assure that no unseen outside germs are brought into our residence is greatly appreciated. Our puppies health and safety are our first responsibility.
3. If you are interested in seeing pictures of our young puppies please email me at: tar9091@aol.com I would be happy to send pictures. Pictures are a great way to see our upcoming puppies without adding any undo stress to our nursing mothers and our young babies. Keeping our mothers feeling secure and happy is very important.
4. Thank you so much for helping us keep our babies as healthy and happy as can be.
Choosing a Male or female puppy: Basically choosing the sex turns out to be a personal preference thing, some people will tell you that they will never have a male dog and others will tell you that they will never have a female dog! A few thing that might help you decide between the two sexes: Have you had a dog before? Was this dog a male or a female? What did you like about this dog and what did you dislike about this dog? Maybe ask a friend with a dog why they choose a male or female? Call your veterinarian and inform him/her that you are considering the idea of adding a new puppy to your home and ask your vet if they think a male or a female would be the right choice for you. If you spay a female and neuter a male, the two really compare closely. If you don't spay a female she will come into heat (season) for about 30 days each time and she would be leaving little red spots all over your house. If you neuter a male at 6 months of age, or before his manly hormonal boost, that will or should eliminate any marking of territory. Marking is a learned habit and if you can cut off the hormones before he learns what marking is, males make wonderful pets. Males are usually a little more affectionate than females, at least that has been my experience!
Pet Quality Puppies versus Show Quality Puppies: Don't let a breeder fool you when they tell you that their puppies are show quality puppies. Being show quality is something that no breeder, no matter how experienced he/she may be, cannot guarantee to you until the puppy has reached at least 6 months of age. If I refer to a puppy as pet quality that does not mean that the puppy is not the best example of his/her breed, that fact is just unknown at that time. I use the difference in terms, of Pet or Show quality, only to describe the puppies destination, meaning the show ring, or a wonderful and loving pet home. A show potential puppy is one that goes beyond the definition of pet quality. These dogs are free of all AKC disqualifying faults. They are not guaranteed to win in the show ring, but AT THE TIME OF ADOPTION, display no structural, cosmetic or temperament faults that would prevent them from attaining a breed championship if handled correctly of course. The fact that a dog may finish a championship does not necessarily mean that it is of breeding quality. Correct phenotype, or what is seen from the outside, does not guarantee correct genotype which would be the genes that are crossed and passed on to the next generation. My puppies may mature to be show quality, and under special circumstances, the AKC limited registration can be lifted, which would allow for showing in all events. The Universal Kennel Club International (UKC), and America's Pet Registry (APR) also have dog show events available now, see their sites for more information.

request! Shipping prices vary depending on the size of the puppy, the time
of year, and temperatures. Most airlines have temperature restrictions

shipping. If this happens, please bare with me, I will get your

trip, and the flight/airline fees) Shipping is usually done in the middle

to the airport for your difficult schedule please add $50.00 to cover the
cost of my gas to and from the airport.

I prefer to place my puppies as pets to
wonderful homes.
If you're interested in breeding or showing, contact me for additional contract
information!
I have the right to refuse any prospective homes!
The key components to our successful breeding program are health,
physical structure, quality, excellent temperaments, and extreme intelligence.
My affiliations and Registries:
1. I am in good standings and I always have been in good standings with: AKC,
APR, UKC, CKC, RKF, UKCI, and more.
2. I am inspected by the AKC.
Inspections Educate Breeders and Promote Better Breeding Practices: read more
about the AKC inspection process online at:
http://www.akc.org/about/depts/investigations.cfm/
3. Our dogs are shown in AKC (The
American Kennel Club) and CKC (The Canadian Kennel Club) events, read more about
dog showing online at:
www.akc.org/events/conformation/beginners.cfm
4. For the past 10 years I have been an evaluator for The American Kennel Clubs
Canine Good Citizen Program. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part
program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good
manners for dogs. Read more about the CGC program online at:
www.akc.org/events/conformation/beginners.cfm
5. In November of 2008 The American Kennel Club
invited me to also be an evaluator for the The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program. The
AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program is designed to reward owners who have taken the time
to take their puppies to a class at least 6 weeks long. Knowing that an
estimated 90% of dogs relinquished to shelters have had no training and AKC
wanted to get all puppies and their owners off to a good start, thereby they
have started a brand new program, The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program.
6. In 2004 I successfully completed the Wisconsin
National Animal Control
Associations (NACA) Training Academy and am certified to be a Wisconsin
Humane Officer. In 2008 I furthered my education by successfully completing the
NACA Level II Training Academy towards my National Certification. My facility
is licensed by my Township, the DNR, and is also inspected and licensed by the
USDA (a federal license). I am not required to be a USDA facility but I want to
be sure that I hold every license available to me. Other facilities may avoid
proper city, town and federal licenses and most claim to be exempt from such, I
feel any facility holding animals for any purpose should be USDA (federal)
licensed, with no exceptions.
7. I am available and I offer my aid with any adoption, placements, health,
foster care, education, and/or support to you. If you need to a re-home your pet
I am willing to assist you, regardless of where your dog came from!
8. I do not support private breed clubs. A private breed club member is "not"
better then a non-member. If you are not on the PTA at your childs school does
that make you a bad mom? Private breed club members are not inspectors, they are
not certified, and they do not care for their animals any better or worse then a
non-member! Anyone who has more then 3 dogs in their home or on their property
should be licensed by someone whether it is their city, their state, or the
federal government. Being a member of a private breed club is not a license. I
have chose to not be a member of the BCOA.
9. I feel that I am highly educated in the field of animals and animal care,
most of my education is accomplished by hands on experience. I am a farm girl
who grew up on a large dairy and horse farm. Bonnie Brae Dairy had provided
bottled milk for many in this area. As a child my grandmother, Vivian, showed
and raised tiny Pomeranians; my other grandmother, Gladys, showed and raised
Miniature Poodles; and my parents had Doberman Pinschers. Grandpa had a passion
for Shetland ponies and horses and at times had as many as 100 which he provided
to camps such as Camp Agawak, where my Aunt Jean taught the camp riding lessons.
My dad later started Bonnie Brae Quarter Horse farm where he eventually added in
paint horses and is now RH Horse Company. Maybe you have met some of our horses
in the past at The Trinity Equestrian Center where their time was "donated" to
help make some youngster smile. My mother hauled her 4 children horse showing
nearly every weekend, and currently hauls my children horse showing. I have
assisted with many rehabilitating situations with all sorts of animals and I am
willing to welcome any new experience. I will try to answer most any questions
you may have or help you with any issues you may have as well, I might not have
the answer to every issue but I am sure willing to try, please don't be afraid
to ask!
10. Dog breeders work hard to keep the 300+ choices of breeds alive, read more
about dog breeders at:

The American Kennel Club has two wonderful programs called
The Canine Good Citizen Program and The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program
I am an Evaluator for both programs and yes you can come to me to have
your dog evaluated and possibly receive your award certificate!
