It has been estimated that 8 million dogs are surrendered to shelters each year, where more than 1/2 are euthanized.
We are a no kill facility.
Our goal is to provide all
animals, even troubled unwanted animals with the best a home has to
offer. We offer the highest quality pet care. We love each and
every pet and strive to accomplish the best results possible for him or
her. We understand that every pet requires different and unique
structuring to maintain the highest level of trust and bond between
human and animal. Each pet has its own needs in life and needs
special attention to insure the quality of life for that animal.

I am "proud" to be a dog
breeder with many many years of experience, and I am willing to
put my experience to use for you. Dog breeders work hard to keep the 300 choices of breeds
alive, read more about dog breeders at: http://hestekinhills.com.
My own selectively bred puppies have been and are placed under the same adoption contract,
this had been my policy since 1991. Our facility is funded by
Adoption fees, donations, and loving foster homes. We are Eau Claire, WI
only NO KILL facility, self funded & non profit. We are not a 501(C)(3)
Corporation as Section
501(C)(3) is a tax law provision
granting exemption from federal income tax to non-profit
organizations. If I filed as a 501(C)(3) corporation I would
not be required to pay property taxes or sales tax, therefore I have not asked for
this exemption, every facility should be required to pay property tax
and sales tax, even a humane society or shelter.
Since 2004 I have been certified as a Wisconsin Humane officer by the NACA. My facility is licensed by my township, the DNR, and is also inspected and licensed by the USDA (a federal license). I am not required to be a USDA facility but I wanted to be sure that I hold every license needed to be 100% legal and legitimate. Other facilities may avoid proper city, town and federal licenses and most claim to be exempt from such, I feel any facility holding animals for any purpose should be USDA (federal) licensed.
A good facility
is a NO KILL facility. I am placing adorable healthy happy dogs into forever
homes. Why would anyone want to take their beloved pet to a place
that will eventually put it down. Come on people lets keep these loving
animals alive. We are, to my knowledge, currently Eau Claire,
Wisconsin's only NO KILL facility. We work hard to keep these wonderful
animals alive. Please be sure if you are surrendering to ANY shelter any
where that you read the fine print to be sure your animal will not be
euthanized when you walk out their door. My families time, efforts and hard work are all done because of our
love of animals. This is our very expensive hobby, not our job or our pay check.
This website tells a lot about myself and my animals, please keep reading
for more in-depth information.
If you, or someone you know, surrendered a dog to any facility: please take just 5 minutes of your time today, call and ask where your dog is today. Shelters may tell you that the information you are asking for is "confidential information" there is no such confidentiality contract in regards to canine law. Please find out where you past pet is today.
There is an Adoption Fee selected per each individual animal, this fee goes towards the upkeep and care of the animals in our care. We are self funded and non profit and we are not affiliated with government funding or exemptions. The rising costs of upkeep and providing proper care for animals is mind boggling and escalates higher and higher each year that we do this. For all of these reasons we have a simple adoption contract and we are willing to ship to most locations. Our main concern is that the animals go to loving caring homes and that we are able to find the best homes suitable for our guests! Our Adoption Contract is easy to understand and fairly self explanative! Read our adoption contract for more information. We consider our service to be medium sized which means: if we get full or have met our limit for personalized care we may offer a quality reference to another facility in your general area that has the capabilities to give your animal the attention, training and care needed. Our facility consists of 26 indoor/outdoor runs, link here to see our kennel.
We're located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. We provide all of the housing, feed, grooming, gasoline, cages, heat, air, electricity, toys etc out of pocket. We also highly depend on private donations and sponsorship programs. We are currently not affiliated with any government funding. We take great pride in what we offer as a service to the general public. We have currently expanding our service. We provide a total service to accommodate pets and animals of all kinds who need good homes. We do not buy these animals so please do not inquire about selling us your pet. Our own top quality animals who are selectively bred are also placed through the the same means of our adoption service, those funds are also contributed to our animals in need. We're a No Kill facility if at all possible! We are currently Eau Claire, Wisconsin's only NO KILL facility. We work hard to keep these wonderful animals alive. Please be sure if you are surrendering to ANY shelter ANY where that you read the fine print and the small print to be sure your animal will not be euthanized when you walk out their door. If you, a friend, or anyone you know may be thinking of surrendering an animal feel free to contact us at anytime to make arrangements or to just inquire about our service. We can always post your pet on our site to assist with your re-homing needs. We accept animals of all kinds depending on our available room and available foster care at the time of need. Animals from birds, cats, dogs, horses and so on are welcome to join us when we have the available room. If you are willing to wait until an available opening we are willing to work with you. We wish we could take in everyone and anyone at all times but space is limited, so please email: tar9091@aol.com or call (715)832-9091 before delivering your animal to us. Animals may also be surrendered as "anonymous". We do not charge a fee for you to surrender your pet and it is always helpful if the persons interested in adopting can call and speak to you personally but we understand if you are not willing, or maybe you just can't be available for this kind of assistance. Sometimes re-homing a loved pet is more then one can take and we want to help ease your pain.

Education, love, health, responsibility, religion and happiness go a long way!
While in the process of raising my family, I decided that it was time to expand my years of previous church schooling, my ordainment and learnings into a new experience with devotion, love, caring and family atmosphere. I, with my husband David and our 3 children have grown through our love of each other, and our love of animals. Maybe you have already attending our horse therapy session or our canine care clinic where A Spiritual Venture encourages individuals, families, children and the elderly to open their hearts, their minds and their world through the love animals. Animals have a way of seeing through all shapes, sizes and personalities of individual people, seeing the true being of each of us. A spiritual Venture welcomes you to join our religious world to fulfill your spiritual needs within.
I feel that I am highly educated in the field of animals and animal care, most of my education is accomplished by hands on experience. I successfully completed the NACA Wisconsin Humane Officer Training Course in 2004 and am a certified humane officer. I am a farm girl who grew up on a large dairy and horse farm. Bonnie Brae Dairy had provided bottled milk for many in this area. As a child my grandmother, Vivian, showed and raised tiny Pomeranians; my other grandmother, Gladys, showed and raised Miniature Poodles; and my parents had Doberman Pinschers. Grandpa had a passion for Shetland ponies and horses and at times had as many as 100 which he provided to camps such as Camp Agawak, where my Aunt Jean taught the camp riding lessons. My dad later started Bonnie Brae Quarter Horse farm where he eventually added in paint horses and is now RH Horse Company. Maybe you have met some of our horses in the past at The Trinity Equestrian Center where their time was "donated" to help make some youngster smile. My mother hauled her 4 children horse showing nearly every weekend, and currently hauls my children horse showing. I have assisted with many rehabilitating situations with all sorts of animals and I am willing to welcome any new experience. I will try to answer most any questions you may have or help you with any issues you may have as well, I might not have the answer to every issue but I am sure willing to try, please don't be afraid to ask!
For the past 10 years I have been an
evaluator for The American Kennel Clubs Canine Good Citizen Program.
The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible
pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. Read
more about the CGC program online at: http://www.akc.org/events/cgc/program.cfm
I appreciate every ones thoughts and input. I do have my own personal
animals over and beyond, this can be confusing to some but rest
assured that the funds acquired by the animals in my care are
contributed to the animals in my care. The animals who are in my
care are all treated as if they are my own. I take care
of them in the best means possible and try to find them the best homes that
I can in the shortest amount of time possible so they can get on with a
happy healthy life with your loving family.

Donations and or adoption fees are the huge story of our success. Providing items very highly needed such as vet donations, pet shop gift certificates, quality feed, crates, toys, gyms, feed bowls, paper towels, towels, and construction products are very much appreciated. Donations are a very important part of our success story and we're so happy that people such as yourself care enough to take the time to see the need for these items as we continue to provide a quality service to the public! Adoption fees are required to adopt a pet, link here to read our adoption contract. These funds are used for healthcare, food, shelter expenses, transportation expenses, toys, etc, while the animal is in our care. We'd like to thank each and everyone who participates and thank you for allowing us to be able to care for these friends! Only God knows where we would be today without each and every one of your assistance.
Sending a
donation by paypal is safe, fast, simple and greatly
appreciated by each and every animal we are currently caring
for:
Or just send a gift certificate, Farm Fleet is a great store with many reasonably priced pet supplies on hand: https://farmandfleet.com/giftcards/item.aspx

Placing A Deposit: A deposit of $50.00 is your guarantee that I will not place the puppy/dog of your choice with someone else. A deposit also serves as my guarantee that you will be adopting the puppy/dog specified, therefore a deposit is non-refundable. I will not hold puppies on your word alone. I will hold your puppy dog an additional 10 days if needed at no extra fee. During this 10 days we expect that you will make arrangements with us for the pick-up or shipping of your puppy dog, and all final amounts are due. If all details are not finalized we will assume that this puppy dog is available for others. If your puppy dog needs to stay with us longer than the 10 days as described, boarding is available: http://hestekinhills.com/boarding.htm Deposits are non-refundable unless, in the unlikely event something happens to the puppy here, or your puppy does not pass the vets exam. (deposit would then be refunded) I will no longer pre-book flights or make transportation arrangements without the puppy being paid for in full.
Choosing a Male or female puppy: Basically choosing the sex turns out to be a personal preference thing, some people will tell you that they will never have a male dog and others will tell you that they will never have a female dog! A few thing that might help you decide between the two sexes: Have you had a dog before? Was this dog a male or a female? What did you like about this dog and what did you dislike about this dog? Maybe ask a friend with a dog why they choose a male or female? Call your veterinarian and inform him/her that you are considering the idea of adding a new puppy to your home and ask your vet if they think a male or a female would be the right choice for you. If you spay a female and neuter a male, the two really compare closely. If you don't spay a female she will come into heat (season) for about 30 days each time and she would be leaving little red spots all over your house. If you neuter a male at 6 months of age, or before his manly hormonal boost, that will or should eliminate any marking of territory. Marking is a learned habit and if you can cut off the hormones before he learns what marking is, males make wonderful pets. Males are usually a little more affectionate than females, at least that has been my experience!
Pet Quality Puppies versus Show Quality Puppies: Don't let a breeder fool you when they tell you that their puppies are show quality puppies. Being show quality is something that no breeder, no matter how experienced he/she may be, cannot guarantee to you until the puppy has reached at least 6 months of age. If I refer to a puppy as pet quality that does not mean that the puppy is not the best example of his/her breed, that fact is just unknown at that time. I use the difference in terms, of Pet or Show quality, only to describe the puppies destination, meaning the show ring, or a wonderful and loving pet home. A show potential puppy is one that goes beyond the definition of pet quality. These dogs are free of all AKC disqualifying faults. They are not guaranteed to win in the show ring, but AT THE TIME OF ADOPTION, display no structural, cosmetic or temperament faults that would prevent them from attaining a breed championship if handled correctly of course. The fact that a dog may finish a championship does not necessarily mean that it is of breeding quality. Correct phenotype, or what is seen from the outside, does not guarantee correct genotype which would be the genes that are crossed and passed on to the next generation. I highly recommend leaving breeding up to the professional dog breeders. My puppies may mature to be show quality, and under special circumstances, the AKC limited registration can be lifted, which would allow for showing in all events. The Universal Kennel Club International (UKC), and America's Pet Registry (APR) also have dog show events available now, see their sites for more information.

A Homeagain Microchip
is smaller than a grain of rice and is coded with a unique ten digit
code. The microchip is
injected between the pets shoulder blades, and just under the skin, much
like a vaccine. You will be given the additional paperwork to register that
chip with the Recovery Service, the life time enrollment fee of $17.50
per pet is paid by you and directly to HomeAgain
Pet Recovery Service! Or register online at www.HomeAgainID.com
Vitamins: Nuvet is an all natural supplement to make sure that our baby gets everything that his or her growing body needs. NuVet Plus can only be purchased directly from the manufacturer: NuVet Labs. They can be reached at 1-800-474-7044. order code number #36582 or online at: www.nuvet.com/36582
Payments: Payment plans are an option. I am willing to work with you on most any payment arrangements, just let me know what you have in mind. The easiest and fastest way to make payment would be to wire the funds from your bank to my bank, this is all done within a matter of minutes. Other alternatives are: Cash is accepted at the time of pickup; Paypal is accepted from confirmed accounts with a $5.00 postage fee plus a 3% transaction fee; I do not like Western Union but this is also an option; Personal checks are accepted as deposits and also as payments, All personal checks must clear my bank prior to you picking up your puppy, or the shipping of your puppy! All puppies/dogs remain with me until completely paid for. I do not accept Cashiers Checks or Money Orders due to the Nigerian Check scam warnings on the internet. ALL DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
Shipping: It is in the best interest of this puppy dog that I agree to ship to most any location: As you may know Rescues, Shelters, Humane Societies and other such organizations do not ship by air. They feel that shipping a puppy dog to a new home is not in their best interests. I agree with this statement, it is not in their best interest, but it is "in the puppy dogs best interest". Therefore, I am willing and able to ship to most locations just to find this little special someone a new forever home.
Shipping
Options are:
* You can come here to pick your puppy up (Eau Claire, Wisconsin)
* Shipping by Northwest
Airlines:
Although I would prefer to meet my babies new families in person, I do
understand that this is not always an option for those of you who live so far
away, therefore I offer world wide shipping at an added expense! I prefer to
use Northwest
Airlines
due to the extra special attention they have paid to my puppies in the
past, but other airlines are always an option at your request! Shipping prices
start at about $300.00 depending on the size of the puppy, the time of year,
and temperatures. All airlines have temperature restrictions in which the
temperatures must be between 10 and 85 degrees in order for me to ship a
puppy, if it is too hot or too cold to ship on a certain day we can go day by
day until the temperatures are alright for shipping. If this happens,
please bare with me, I will get your puppy to you as soon as I can, and Thank
you for understanding! When I quote a price to you, be assured that all
expenses are included. (My travel to and from the airport, the puppies required health papers for the airline, a pet
porter that is large enough for a comfortable trip, and the flight/airline
fees) I will no longer pre-book flights without the puppy being paid for
in full.
*We also offer door to door delivery, and/or partial delivery service. Delivery prices vary depending on destination and total drive time:

The following agreement contains the terms of this adoption, this agreement has been my basic policy since 1991.
The
puppy dog you have selected
is guaranteed by Hestekin
Hills to the original
adoptor. This puppy appears
to be of sound body, and in
good health, as far as
appears to the eye at the
time of this adoption. The
adoptor is strongly urged to
establish a relationship
with a Veterinarian of their
choice within 24 hours of
the adoption to assure that
they will follow through
with this puppy dogs health
care. This puppy is
guaranteed until the age of
1 year against hereditary
and congenital disorders
that will interfere with the
puppy dogs ability to lead a
normal life, excluding
umbilical hernias.
Should a veterinarian find
such a hereditary or
congenital disorder, you
simply supply us with your
veterinarians written report
and the report from the OFA
or GDC,
stating that this puppy dog
is indeed severely affected.
This puppy dog would then be
replaced with another of
equal value, and as
available. We reserve the
right to have any diagnosis
verified by a veterinarian
of our choice. We do not pay
veterinary bills incurred
under any circumstances. All
Veterinarian and
transportation expenses are
the adoptor's
responsibility. Puppy
dogs are not placed on a
trial basis, but may be
returned to us at any time
in their life and for any
reason. The adoptor is aware
that no refunds will be
given and that they are
taking full responsibility
for this puppy dog from this
date forward. At no time
should a puppy/dog be placed
in any rescue organization,
shelter, pound or any other
such organization, and/or
for any reason. If a
situation such as this ever
presents itself to you, you
simply are guaranteeing me
that you will be responsible
enough to return this
puppy/dog to me so that I
can aid in placing him/her
in a new loving home.
This puppy dog has been adopted as a pet. You as the adoptor agree to keep this puppy in top condition. It is recommended that you have this puppy dog spay/neutered, if not already done. If this Adoption Agreement is violated, the adoptor agrees to pay the difference of the adoption fee, which is equal to the amount already paid.
It
is required that you find a
reputable veterinarian to
keep this puppy dog up to
date on all vaccinations and
wormings according to
veterinarian standards for
this puppy dogs age. It is
required that this puppy dog
remain on the NuVet Plus
vitamins as a nutritional
supplement. (To order your

order code is: 3658-2 or
online at: www.nuvet.com/36582,
this is a human grade all
natural ingredient vitamin)
It is required that you
transfer this puppy dogs
microchip into your name
within 3 days of this
adoption. This puppy dog is
currently eating Pedigree or
Purina puppy food, and it is
strongly recommended that
you follow this program.
Adult size, conformation,
color, pattern, can not be
guaranteed. All Veterinarian
and transportation expenses
are the adoptor's
responsibility. We assume no
responsibility for the puppy
dog after leaving our
premises for accident,
injury, disagreement of
family members, veterinarian
exams, medications,
mortality, behavior,
disease, or for any other
reasons. We do not pay
veterinary bills incurred
under any circumstances, and
the adoptor is aware that no
refunds will be given as
they are taking full
responsibility for this
puppy dog from this date
forward. Providing adequate
medical care including
heartworm preventative and
yearly vaccinations is a
must. Providing adequate
exercise and human contact
is a necessity of any puppy
or dog.
I, as the adoptor of this
puppy, do hereby guarantee
that I am not a broker or a
puppy mill. I am aware that
placing of this puppy in any
such place is a violation of
this contract.
Adoptor agrees that if any
conditions or terms of the
above contract are violated
by the adoptor, the adoptor
will pay restitution, which
is equal to or greater than
the amount already paid. If
the adoptor must be taken
into court to enforce this
contract it is agreed that
all court costs and legal
fees incurred will be paid
by the adoptor, all actions
will be in Wisconsin Court
and be subject to Wisconsin
Laws. Adopting a puppy dog
should not be an impulsive
decision and it is your

that you are making a

I have the right to refuse any prospective homes!
The key components to our successful breeding program are health,
physical structure, quality, excellent temperaments, and extreme intelligence.
My affiliations and Registries:
1. I am in good standings and I always have been in good standings with: AKC, APR, UKC, CKC, RKF, UKCI, and more.
2. I am inspected by the AKC. Inspections Educate Breeders and Promote Better Breeding Practices: read more about the AKC inspection process online at:
http://www.akc.org/about/depts/investigations.cfm/
3. Our dogs are shown in AKC (The American Kennel Club) and CKC (The Canadian Kennel Club) events, read more about dog showing online at:
www.akc.org/events/conformation/beginners.cfm
4. For the past 10 years I have been an evaluator for The American Kennel Clubs Canine Good Citizen Program. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. Read more about the CGC program online at:
www.akc.org/events/conformation/beginners.cfm
5. I successfully completed the NACA Wisconsin Humane Officer Training Course in 2004 and am certified to be a Wisconsin Humane Officer. My facility is licensed by my township, the DNR, and is also inspected and licensed by the USDA (a federal license). I am not required to be a USDA facility but I wanted to be sure that I hold every license available to me. Other facilities may avoid proper city, town and federal licenses and most claim to be exempt from such, I feel any facility holding animals for any purpose should be USDA (federal) licensed.
6. I am available and I offer my aid with any adoption, placements, health, foster care, education, and/or support to you. If you need to a re-home your pet I am willing to assist you, regardless of where your dog came from!
7. I do not support private breed clubs. A private breed club member is "not" better then a non-member. If you are not on the PTA at your childs school does that make you a bad mom? Private breed club members are not inspectors, they are not certified, and they do not care for their animals any better or worse then a non-member! Anyone who has more then 3 dogs in their home or on their property should be licensed by someone whether it is their city, their state, or the federal government. Being a member of a private breed club is not a license. I have chose to not be a member of the BCOA.
8. I feel that I am highly educated in the field of animals and animal care, most of my education is accomplished by hands on experience. I am a farm girl who grew up on a large dairy and horse farm. Bonnie Brae Dairy had provided bottled milk for many in this area.
